Computing curriculum

From Nursery to Year 6, students will engage with three main aspects of the computing curriculum:

Computer Science: Children will learn what algorithms are, how they are implemented as programs on digital devices, and how these devices execute the programs. By the end of Year 6, students will be able to create and debug simple programs.

Information Technology: Students will learn to use technology purposefully to create, organize, store, manipulate, and retrieve digital content, as well as to communicate and collaborate online.

Digital Literacy: This crucial component ensures that pupils develop practical knowledge in staying safe online. They will understand the importance of keeping personal information private and recognize appropriate behavior while using the internet.

Throughout their journey from Nursery to Year 6, children will use a variety of digital tools to enhance their learning experience, applying what they've learned to solve problems both hypothetical and real.
